Charlotte's Magic Cream is a peptide-enriched moisturizer that bridges the gap between skincare and makeup prep. The formulation centers on a proprietary BioNymph Peptide Complex — a blend of palmitoyl oligopeptides and tripeptides that target collagen stimulation and skin-plumping. Supporting actives include a vitamin C derivative (ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate) for brightening, hyaluronic acid for moisture binding, and rosehip/camellia seed oils for barrier support. Originally developed backstage at fashion shows as a universal skin prep for models, the product gained cult status for its immediate luminosity effect — a combination of light-diffusing particles and the emollient base creating an instant-glow finish before foundation. The longer-term peptide and vitamin C effects require consistent daily use over 4-8 weeks. The formulation is richer than typical peptide serums, sitting in moisturizer territory. This makes it suitable as both treatment and hydration step for normal-to-dry skin, though oily skin types may find it too emollient for AM use.
