Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream SPF 30 is the photoprotective variant of Elemis's best-selling anti-aging moisturizer. The formulation centers on Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, a signal peptide that mimics the collagen fragment GHK and stimulates fibroblast synthesis of collagen I, III, and fibronectin. Supporting this are marine extracts — Padina Pavonica (Mediterranean brown algae rich in fucoidan) and Chlorella vulgaris — which provide antioxidant protection and additional matrix-supporting polysaccharides. Brand-sponsored clinical testing reported a 78% improvement in skin firmness and a 45% reduction in wrinkle depth after 4 weeks of twice-daily use (n=30, self-assessment and instrumental measures). These results are directionally plausible given the peptide and algal composition but come from sponsor-funded studies without independent replication.
